Temple of Khonsu — Chapel 6
Karnak temple complex, Luxor, Egypt
The place
The Temple of Khonsu stands within the Karnak temple complex at Luxor and was dedicated to Khonsu, the moon god. Chapel 6 is one of its small rooms.
Its walls were made to do more than decorate: they show rituals and offerings, columns of hieroglyphs, royal cartouches and protective symbols — the meeting of the human world and the divine, and the authority of the king. Parts of the chapel are damaged, but the walls still keep their story.
This experience
A guided audio tour with five narrated stops — a welcome and four walls. Select a glowing marker to hear its story and read it as text. On a computer, drag to look around; on a Meta Quest, press Enter VR and fly through the chapel.
